[Video Tutorial] Introducing Zama’s Hardware Accelerator for FHE - HPU on FPGA

TFHE-rs is meant for developers and researchers who want full control over what they can do with TFHE, while not having to worry about the low level implementation. The goal is to have a stable, simple, high-performance, and production-ready library for all the advanced features of TFHE.

HPU stands for Homomorphic Processing Units, it is a processor designed to compute directly on encrypted data.

In this tutorial, Zama team member Lucas Sainati walks through how to accelerate TFHE computations using the HPU — a fully open-source hardware backend running on FPGA and integrated with TFHE-rs.
